To avoid hills on hot days sometimes I ride through neighborhoods where wealth, arrogance and ignorance collide. Where waste is believed to be a sign of privilege and exceptionalism. Where exceptions can be bought and squandered. California is in a severe drought. You would not know it from this neighborhood.
